Since graduating, Mackenzie has both been a dancer of a few DC area companies and freelanced/guested for varying projects and opportunities.

With over a decade of teaching experience, in addition to working in many dance schools, she was given the opportunity to build a dance program in a high school. Mover and Shaker
Dancer, Yogi, Teacher, Choreographer, Paddler, Blogger and Etsy Artist
As a woman of many passions, Mackenzie has a wide range of offerings.
In addition to freelancing, she offers dance instruction, yoga instruction, wedding choreography, SUP Yoga and Dance, SUP private lessons, as well as a link to her Jewelry business on Etsy.

Mackenzie began teaching dance in 2008 at her home studio as a substitute teacher on an emergency basis with the younger classes. It was there that she realized her talent for connection and instruction that has since blossomed. Using her skill and experience, she headed up what is now a full dance program in a high school in addition to teaching at various schools in the MD/DC/VA area. Those experiences gave way into the role as one of the lead teaching artists in residence with Bowen McCauley Dance.

Mackenzie came to yoga various times throughout her life with varying connections, usually injury related until after college. It was deepening her practice at Prana that inspired her to take the step towards going through her 200 Hr YTT. Upon receiving her 200 Hr certification, Mackenzie was offered a regular class at Prana. She began to hold team building, athletics and corporate yoga events to boost wellness, cross training, and mindfulness.

Since moving to NYC, Mackenzie has joined the Manhattan Kayak community as a SUP (stand up paddle board) Basics instructor, SUP yoga instructor, and have taken on their social media.

MackenzieRawlsDesign is the newest addition to her offerings. For years, Mackenzie and her mother would take jewelry classes as something to learn and enjoy together. They always intended to sell, then never made that the priority. Finally after moving to NYC, Mackenzie finally went live with her leather collection on Etsy and has continued to find new inspiration on her creations and branding.

"It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for – and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool – for love – for your dreams – for the adventure of being alive."
