Day 9: Try Something New . It can be very easy to get stuck in a routine. What is something you’ve never done? It doesn’t have to be big... maybe it’s something small. What if you tried each week to try something new? How much could you expose yourself to? Think about how much you could learn about yourself and others. .
Small ways one might approach this is - taking an exercise class at a new place, trying a new vegetable, adding a green to every meal, reading before bed... the options are limitless. Maybe it’s extreme like planning to travel, skydive or take on a new hobby. Fulfilling a bucket list item every year. . I personally LOVE trying new things. My bigger problem is I tend to fall in love with all of them leaving less time for each thing I love. This summer I spent time with dear friends wake surfing, and thanks to my friends coaching I went from not standing longer than 5 seconds, to going one handed to going no handed!! My stubborn bum has a habit of not liking when things don’t come naturally... but this time I decided to set small achievable goals and boy did that make a difference - it made my experience so much richer and exciting! .
I’m not sure what new thing(s) I am going to try quite yet but I have a few ideas and I’ll keep you posted on that journey!! .
