STAND UP PADDLE YOGA

An opportunity to take your yoga practice to the water.  An all level class that takes you through a full yoga sequence with the added bonus of being outside, on the water, enjoying savasana with the water at your finger tips, sun on your face.  The water adds a new challenge to your practice.

Stand Up Paddle

Dance​

An all-level party on the water! The class takes people through a typical dance warmup, stretches, and instruction of the moves that will be focused on throughout the class and choreography.  One might immediately write this class off saying, “I can’t dance”…come try it out and see if we can make a liar out of you! Loud music, beautiful scenery, on the water, filled with laughter and it’s a workout!? What could be better?!  

Classes currently offered through CapitalSUP's class schedule, private group option available.

Great group event for corporate fitness, birthdays, bachelorettes outings, team bonding, etc

SUP Basics 

Between SUP Basics 1 & 2 at Manhattan Kayak, you will learn how to properly outfit yourself and your craft to be water ready, you work on land working through basic strokes and turns that then translate to the water portion of the class.  Learning how to properly carry and launch your board, you then go through forward, backward, and turning strokes.  Throughout the curriculum in Basics 1 & 2, you start with getting comfortable on the water and board, and continually refine and tweak the stroke technique to allow for the most efficient and strong paddle experience.

Good technique and a strong rhythmic cadence are fundamental to getting your paddling to a level that allows you to join MKC's trips around the Hudson River.  Join me on the water to get started!
